How to recommend Alex Epstein as a speaker

From Alex Epstein:

One of the most effective ways for me to promote pro-human thinking on energy issues is to speak at high-level events to influential audiences.

If you know anyone who hosts these events and would like to recommend me, thank you!

Here’s how you can do it easily—literally in one minute.

The one-minute recommendation

Hi Joe,

I’d like to introduce you to a thinker I believe would make a great speaker at one of your events: Alex Epstein, author of the New York Times bestseller The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels (WSJ review here).

Alex Epstein is a philosopher who, as a complete outsider to the fossil fuel industry, independently came to the conclusion that humanity has a moral obligation to use more fossil fuels, not less.

The basis of his moral case for fossil fuels is the idea that our energy choices should be guided, not by the fashionable standard of “green” (unchanged nature) but by the standard of human flourishing. He argues that if we look carefully at the full context of fossil fuels’ impacts (including climate impacts) they are an incredible net benefit to human flourishing now and will remain so for many decades to come.

I have seen Alex speak in person and I can tell you that he will keep your audience riveted during his speech and eagerly engaged during the Q&A. He’s publicly debated leading representatives of Greenpeace, Sierra Club, and 350.org, as well as spoken on college campuses such as Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, so he’s very used to disagreement!

If you’d like to see Alex in action, check out this 3 minute video.

For in-depth info on him and his speaking see his speaking page, which includes a talk he gave at Google.

I’m copying Alex on this email so you two can connect. I hope you do—I know you won’t regret it.
